Skull Skates announces their semi-annual infamous Yard Sale Saturday June 18, 10AM until 3PM at 3734 W. 10th ave near Alma Street Vancouver, Canada. With an atmosphere more akin to a flea market, the Skull Yard Sale invites buyers and sellers to participate. Previous sales have included skateboards, skimboards, bicycles, clothing, excessories, records, furniture, household items, collectables, treasures, junk and more for sale. No surly birds.

Main Street Car Free Day

Featuring entertainment and vendors with a focus on environmentally sound transportation and recreation, the Main Street Car Free Day in Vancouver takes place on Sunday June 19 on Main Street from Broadway to 30th ave, from 12 noon until 7PM. Skull Skates will be participating this year with a booth promoting skateboarding as transport vehicle and means of healthy expression. Drop by and say hello or maybe pick up a skateboard at a very special Car Free Day price.

Canada's Oldest Skate Shop

With no fanfare, PDs Hot Shop Canada's oldest skateboard shop turns 40 years old this year. Established in 1976, the Hot Shop continues to serve as a focal point and community hub earning several number one results in readers polls and connecting like minded humans. As the flagship Skull Skates shop, the Hot Shop applies direct feedback from friends and customers to shape and influence progressive Skull Skates designs copied by many but duplicated by none.

Back this year bigger and better than ever. Watch riders throw themselves down an awesome downhill skateboard course filled with ramps, jumps, and banks. The day will feature two demonstrations by our professional riders. If you're a skater yourself come and ride the track for free or enter the slide jam to win some great prizes!

The event sits on 4th av between Larch and Trafalgar during the Khatsahlano Street Festival. Expect lots of cheering fans!

The lower area will feature a "learn to ride" zone where you can demo a board and get tips from instructors. We also have a board painting area where you can paint a decorative longboard on site for $25 and take it home to hang on your wall. All proceeds go to charity.

Sunday June 21st is Go Skateboarding Day! Its also Car Free Day on Commercial Drive. No cars, huge crowds, lots of fun.

Between 5th and McSpadden on Commercial Drive, we are setting up a fenced in area on the street with a few jumps.

We are running beginner "Learn to Longboard" clinics throughout the day for free! We have demo boards and helmets for the kids.

The intermediate and advanced riders can also come down and try their hand at the terrain we will have set up.
